Jim Davis and a fat cat

Jim Davis based his comic strip on being a cartoonist and having a cat around the house. Well I already had a cat of recent and this comes from someone who has always been a dog person for 20 or more years. Living in rental property means you can't realistically own a dog so a cat was acquired. Now Cat #1 is two years old and looks pretty lonely. So it was decided that she needed a friend. Enter - Kitten #2...

She may look cute but trust me when I say that the teaming of the pair has been nothing short of espionage to the household. She may be little but she is faster than Cat#1 which says alot (she's worn carpet thin in days) and she is teething.

Rule #1 - Never bite your owners comic book collection.

Rule #2 - Never bite your owner.

Rule #3 - You are the smallest in the pecking order, remember that.

Rule #4 - Pee and poo in your own litter and not others.

The other issue we are discovering is that Kitten #2 is a pig in disguise. Not only does she woof down her own meals which are more than she should have but she devours Cat#1's bowl with little or no effort. The remaining effect is an oversized belly that stops her from walking or running without losing stability. Her run now becomes a gallop as she struggles to overcome her eating issue.

I see why Jim Davis came up with the idea for his strip.
