One thing I have found since creating this blog is that I haven't been giving my self enough time to leave any notes or guff on the industry. It's more the fact that I'm concentrating on other areas of the business that I've taken for granted for too long. So I've been spending every spare minute tending to the needed work on the business.
I've also been overwhelmed by many young people interested in becoming cartoonists and writing letters asking for advice or requesting interviews to give them the much needed answers they are looking for. I've been answering these in the time I get and assure them that I will respond but to give me some time to. I've also decided to start compiling the many questions in to a small book that I will provide for free to download in the near future to help answer all the questions about cartooning. So stay tuned.
On another front I woke up early enough on Sunday to catch the end of an animated tv series that I worked on about 5 years ago. I had never seen it completed before so I missed out on a lot I guess. But the thing that stung me most was I wasn't listed in the credits for the show! Pricks. I'm hoping that was just an error on the credits for that particular episode.
On the grapevine I've heard that :
• Work on Shrek 3 has begun already and that Shrek 2 will be arriving for show in Oz late next year.
• the Lion King DVD will be released in Aus/NZ March 2004 which is 5 months after the rest of the world.
• Kevin Smith reveals that "we'll be outputting the flash test to film
soon" for CLERKS: SELL OUT.
• the Get Fuzzy comic strip will be a live action - CGI feature film being directed by Kirk Wise and produced Rob Minkoff. These two guys are big guns from Disney Feature animation.
• And for the fans here is a clip of Aerosmith's RUGRATS GO WILD video:

That will be all for now.
