One Illustrator I have admired for some time for their work as being outstanding is Bill Mayer. I don't know if many know him by name but when you see his work you certainly know it by nature. I found out he has a website now, albeit a bit too flashy. Obviously designed by a web tech rather than a designer. It crashed my browser when I clicked to see his BIO details. Anyway, check out his version of monsters in his portfolio. He truly stands out as a great Illustrator.

Yeah, I like Mayer a lot. I'm seeing those illustrations everywhere now, in advertisements. I'm glad to see his style in a lot of places now, especially considering how free and weird he gets... it seems so "untamed" for today's conservative ad work, I'm glad he's built enough of a reputation for himself that he can call the shots in his work.
