ISBN 9780732256494
Here is the blurb :
A terrible catastrophe befalls the little mole one bright sunny morning. It looks a little like a sausage, and the worst thing is that it lands right on his head. He sets out to find who has left their business on his head.

I LOVE this book - one of my all-time favourites. And how appropriate for the readership - just at the age when they are (relatively) fixated with their poop.
Have you read any of Sean Tan's stuff? He's a young WA guy, who does fantastic illustrations for kids books. The Red Tree is one of them.
I also love Raymond Briggs (Fungus The Bogeyman) and Eric Carl (The Hungry Caterpillar). Heh, I just love kids books generally.
Ahem.
Fungus The Bogeyman, I'd totally forgotten that one. I won a reading competition (I was very cool) and that book was my prize. I still have it somewhere.
I shall have to check out Sean Tan's stuff. Most illustrators have a tendency to come from Adelaide. But they all have the same look to their stuff.
I love a good poop gag. In fact I'm going to repost all my animations that referred to poo and farts.
