I've been a fan of a few japanese illustrators for a while but they are just so hard to find on the net. It's a particular style that I like but not easy found. During my googling I did discover something of interest though. A Manga University. Weird.
Sydney based Australian cartoonist Lee Sheppard provides illustrations, caricatures, cartoons, comic strips and animation. Examples of which can be viewed on the website.

I' not to sure what style you're looking for but on my googling I did find a site which had tonnes of illustrator images. It's not very helpfull though because it's all in Japanese and you can't enlargen the images:
