Wicked

Ok so I've been on this funny hunt for Japanese Illustrators. Finally I found one with a wicked sense of humour. This Japanese Illo is deadset funny. I love the cute warmness appeal and then it hits you when suddenly you realise there is blood dripping from the cute bears mouth and his paws are covered.

Still waiting to hear from the Tropfest organisers. They should be getting back to us soon as the screening date it in mid Feb and we don't have much time left. Mind you I don't know how they expect to get 16 finalists out of over 700 entries. But they should know that I will be one of them.

Japanese Illustrators

I've been a fan of a few japanese illustrators for a while but they are just so hard to find on the net. It's a particular style that I like but not easy found. During my googling I did discover something of interest though. A Manga University. Weird.

Back to duty

Well I had a server change over xmas and I've never had so much hassles transferring a site. I've finally got it all going and had to reinstall MoveableType so I could get back to blogging. At least now I run it using MySQL. Seems a little slower to me though.

New comic strip in production as we speak, will upload one now for a sneak peak.

There you go. More to see later. More details later.

Brush Pens

I've just discovered a few boxes of Brush Pens I had imported from Japan. These pens have a man made tip that never loses its point and is made of brush like fibres. Unlike the other imitation brush pens where the brush is solid rubber. These are a professional Japanese Calligraphy Pen that Pentel manufacture but have not sold in this country for about 4 years. The ink cartridges are still available from craft shops.

I'm selling these at cost as I need to free up some space around my desk!

They are $15.00 each and come with 4 cartridges. They are expensive to import as I found out and more so because of the small quantity I imported (400).

If you have never seen a cartoon done using these great pens you should check out Mike Peters cartoons. He swears by this pen.

Grimmy.

Email me if you are interested.

Tropfest 2003

I finally finished my entry for the Tropfest Short Film Festival. Just getting the final release forms signed etc.. and it shall be handed in at the last minute as usual. Out of hundreds of entries I am hoping that I will be one of the 16 finalists chosen. Last year saw some pretty slapped together animation get in so I can only imagine I'd be a sure thing. I'll let you know.

Going Digital

As opposed to the umpteen socks and undies and relatively uninteresting shirts I receive for christmas, I finally got a decent digital camera. So expect more photos from now on. Here I have also discovered my Kitten has learnt to jump more than 6 feet high onto my bookcases.

Oh and if anyone is interested in Playstation 2 games, I got Star Wars Bounty Hunter as well for christmas and it seriously kicks ass.

New Year Resoltuion

More server issues dealt with finally so I can get on with the job. Not a great start to the year, I have to sell my car. If anyone can help out in the Sydney area please email me. It is a 1995 Special Edition Daihatsu Charade "Toscana", Kenwood Stereo, Black Widow Car Alarm, New tyres, 6 mths rego. I'm selling it for $8,000. I'd prefer to sell it to a friend or someone I know, that's how much I trust selling it. It is a great car and I'd prefer not to sell it.
